Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality is collapsing

Local DA councillor feels the town is crumbling

Editor – On October 7, we tried to table a motion to remove the municipal manager for the interest of the people of Estcourt.

The African National Congress (ANC) rejected our motion. This municipality will never recover again, so, as a small opposition party, we voted for the sake of fighting for the interests of Estcourt residents, because we see that this municipality cannot provide a better life for our people.

We voted as the Democratic Alliance (DA), Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) to
improve our municipality. We need to remove the municipal manager from his office because he has failed to do his duty.

How can we keep people who fail to rebuild Estcourt? People are always complaining about service delivery – roads are not maintained, we have firefighting issues, the town is collapsing, robots are not working, and the rank is dirty.
Musa Nkala (DA councillor)
