“My kingdom for a water bill”

Is it any wonder that KZN's municipalities are regarded as the worst in the county?

Sir
The new Council brought with it a meagre sniff of hope after they started making all the right noises at meetings, especially that famous meeting in the Royal Country Inn’s conference hall this year.
A lot of nice-looking budget projects, especially the fencing of the two cursed parks in Dundee.
Even the Courier wrote in hushed terms about the new Council who had now crossed the Rubicon on this one.
Well, yeah,, and there it stopped. Residents are barely getting water accounts from our pie in the sky district municipality, which just cannot seem to administer the water accounts, with some residents, like me, just not getting an account.
Some have got accounts for millions of Rands, which is such a glaring error that it blinds every municipal official in that building. Asking them to email the accounts is another mountain to climb.
The town council seems to be splashing and splurging in that Rubicon, as they sure as hell did not get across it – maybe the new Speaker’s car and Deputy Mayor’s car will be amphibious and help them to float across the now fast running Buffalo.
I am still begging and praying for my water bill.
This makes every account late, every month, and the district municipality happily exacts interest on every bill, fleecing millions from an already overpaying electorate.
Is it any wonder that KZN’s municipalities are regarded as the worst in the county?
