CMD aims to stave off Christmas hunger

Christian Social Services (CMD) hopes to make a difference this festive season.

Sir – This letter serves as a request for a donation of groceries for mini food parcels, for the Christmas party our office will be hosting for the foster care children and children from the children’s home.

CMD is a nonprofit organisation (NPO). It is dependent on donations as well as a subsidy from Government. Running costs are ever-increasing and the Dundee office is running at a deficit.

The Dundee CMD Office serves the communities of Dundee, and some areas of the Sibongile location. We are serving more than 200 families with food parcels, blankets and clothing each year.

Our office is now in desperate need of groceries to put together food parcels for our foster children and children from the children’s home.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated and any donations can be dropped off at our offices at 71 Wilson Street, Dundee (The NG Church) or at the offices of the Northern Natal Courier at 28 Beaconsfield Street.
