Scouts enjoy a night of adventure and education

Our grateful thanks to Mr. Brian Wilson and the Grey Goose staff for their support.

Madam –

Great fun with the Scouts at the Grey Goose.

Recently, 50 children between the ages ages of 8 and 16, joined the 3rd Newcastle Scout Group for a night time adventure walk through the wild at the Grey Goose Game Lodge.

Being split into four patrols, and equipped with torches, the group proceeded from the dam, up the trail to the top of the Eucalyptus plantation, and then down through the wood on a very dark and winding trail.

An hour later, the end of the walk was completed at Mosklip beneath the overhanging cliff face.

A roaring log fire was lit and the Scouts led the gang in singing, and hilariously performing, to campfire songs, until burgers were delivered by the Grey Goose staff.

During the ensuing quiet, an interesting talk was given by Mr Bradley Gibbons of the Endangered Wildlife Trust.

Two hours from the start of the evening, the very excited children climbed out of Mosklip to be reunited with their parents, who had a very pleasant evening in the Grey Goose restaurant, all wanting to be involved with further Scout activities.

Our grateful thanks to Mr. Brian Wilson and the Grey Goose staff for their support.

Contact number for the Scouts is 072 329 1915. All are welcome.
