Sir – Thanks for the wonderful article – albeit a sad topic – and balanced writing on the Dave Yates saga.
Your journalists seem to have adopted an incisive approach to this tragedy, which indeed gripped our town. Other publications appear to be slightly biased and did not succeed in delving into the events that unfolded as sensitively as your good offices have succeeded in doing so.
It is good to know that our local Courier cares and knows our community so well. It takes time to handle such subjects sensibly and in a mature manner. Again, thank you. On another note, our town has been rocked by the investment saga which has also been well covered.
It is also an emotional one and one which the towns folk will be watching with an eagle’s eye. For one thing, our town is never boring and there appears to be never a shortage of news.
