Destruction shows mankind is its own worst enemy

My sentiment is that we are our own worst enemy.

Madam –

Our planet faces a serious crisis.

Man’s indecisiveness as how to attack the looming problems bodes no good, as our attachment to carbon dioxide producing sources such as coal, continues totally unrestrained.

My sentiment is that we are our own worst enemy.

Much as we were to lord our the creatures of the air, land and sea, we do not only lord but destroy too. If you take a hard look at your surroundings and analyse its present state, this represents a microcosm of the world at large.

Remember, a small part of an entity is usually a good reflection of the whole.

Short of there being a complete change in attitude and responsibilities, are were to expect the number of soiled rivers and water sources to increase exponentially into the future? Will we one day be able to walk from Africa to America on a pontoon composed of discarded plastic rubbish?

There is too much talk about going to Mars and nothing about cleaning up Earth. What legacy are we leaving our descendants? One voice may ruffle some feathers, but to right these years of neglect will need an army of concerned citizens getting governments to act.
