We, as the Ecumenical Movement in this region, are saddened and shocked by the killings of our leaders, both political and non-political.

This forces us all to join hands once again and create a platform for engagement.
When killings were high in Estcourt some years ago, a peace initiative task team was formed… and as the church was also part of that initiative, the outcome was positive.
Even now, we must do something in order to try and remedy the situation. The recent killing of Cllr Majola, who was part of the peace initiative task team, tells us that indeed we must do something.
May he rest in eternal peace.
