Want to make your own cough syrup? Details in the story

Calendula (pot marigold) – The bright-orange and yellow petals are used for liver complaints, jaundice, healing chilblains and make for an excellent antiseptic and eye wash. They can also be used to treat ulcers and acne.
Cauliflower – Contains Vitamin K and helps stop bleeding.
Cayenne pepper – Rich in Vitamin C. Assists with blood circulation, high blood pressure and chilblains. Do not use on broken skin.

Comfrey – The leaves are used to help with arthritis, wounds, bed sores and athlete’s foot. Contains Vitamin B12.
Coriander – Aids with digestive problems, nausea, bloody stool, incontinence and urine problems.
Cotyledon – The juice from the leaves are used for warts or corns. Warm the juice to alleviate earache, boils or inflammation.

Make your own cough syrup:
1. Slice an onion in thick rounds.
2. Layer with brown sugar and a little grated ginger, placed in a sealed glass container.
3. Cover and leave overnight.
4. Squeeze out all the liquid and discard the onion. Add half a lemon to the liquid.
5. Take a tablespoon four times daily.
