LETTER – ‘Well done ML Class of ’89’ – from an educator

To the class of '89, you were the best and judging from your achievements and contribution to society you still are

Sir
So often educators express dismay at learners’ indifference towards their efforts in trying to make a difference.

To them I say that all is not lost – they do, in some way or the other, remember those who have contributed to their personal growth and development. This was aptly demonstrated at the reunion of the class of ’89 held on February 16 at the Battlefields Lodge. I felt honoured to be invited to share in such a significant moment in the lives of these young men and women.

Not only were the educators afforded an opportunity to participate in the programme but were also presented with ‘goody bags’ filled with gifts indicating that love, care and thought that went into the selection. To the class of ’89 you were the best and judging from your achievements and contribution to society you still are and will always be the best.
