LETTER – COPE accuses ANC of ‘dirty tricks’

The fake claim that the two are big shots in COPE is an embarrassing act of desperation on the part of the party of corruption

Sir
The party of corruption’s (ANC) opportunism and propensity, to attract undesirable and failed elements, has no bounds.

They have become a magnet for rejects and unashamedly parade them as a big catch of some sort.

COPE charged Patrick Sikutshi for embezzlement and theft of party funds in 2017.

He was taken through a swift and independent disciplinary hearing. Of course, he hired lawyers to defend him. When he realised that the verdict went against him and a recommendation of expulsion from the party was made, he resigned as MPL and member in 2017 already. We accepted his resignation.
Tshilidzi Ravhuandzwo simply failed to be re-elected at our recent Congress in January 2019.

The fake claim that the two are big shots in COPE is an embarrassing act of desperation on the part of the party of corruption. They are desperately seeking attention. The dirty tricks they used since 2009, as an attempt to destroy COPE, will simply never work.

They can never kill an idea whose time has arrived and being embraced by an even bigger number of South Africans as an alternative government that respects the values of our constitution.
