After many attempts, which ended in rude outbursts, we have been left with no other choice but to write this letter for help.

I speak on behalf of my elderly neighbours as well, who are fed up with the stench of waste that is being dumped by a company on a property as arranged with the owner.
We reside in Wembezi, Nkwezela section; we have had to live with this strong and very unpleasant smell as of October last year.
Anyone who approaches the property owner is bullied. How are we supposed to live? It smells even worse once it has rained and there is sun the next day.

We have to keep our windows closed all the time in this heat, and not to mention the unhygienic part. This waste attracts flies in numbers; I do not know what damage is being done to our lungs, as the elderly people have to constantly use insecticides.
We have approached our councillor who has not taken any action to date. We are getting sick and have to visit the doctors often.
The property owner is rude and making our lives miserable. Our festive season was very unpleasant. We have put up with all his animals raiding our gardens and now this …
We advise he gets a plot away from the residential area and consider the rest of us. If nothing is being done about this, we will be forced to march and call in the relevant departments to assist.
