‘Fed up with booming loud music’

Come on people show a little respect

Sir
We have often read about Coronation Park and McPhail Park with all the associated anti-social activities that go on there.

We, about 56 residents in the upper Strathmore, lower Strathmore and Tandy Street vicinity, want to complain about the continuous loud music coming from a bar/shebeen located in the new extension behind the airfield.

While everyone surely enjoys a party, we do not want to hear your music. The loud music booms from Friday night right through to Sunday night every weekend. It is very inconsiderate. Where are the by-laws? Non-existent one assumes?

It is no use calling the SAPS – they always say ‘not our problem’. It appears as if an RDP house has been converted for this business and we would love the authorities to please ask them to keep the music to a level where we do not have to hear it. Many people work night-shift, irregular hours and there are school kids writing trial exams who need sleep.

Come on people show a little respect.
