Editor – I feel that our town is lacking in sports and especially entertainment for the youth.
Our youth are bored over the weekends and have to go out of town to enjoy themselves.
Can’t our mayor do something about this? Open an entertainment area where it is safe for our youth to “hang out”.
It’s no use having youth festivals only for one race; be fair and have something where all races can attend. Music for all races!
Get the community involved as well. Get businesses to support and let our town grow so that other people from out of town come here for a change.
Let the mayor plan sports that all races can also play and get involved in. I really want Ladysmith to have an entertainment centre where our youngsters can go and “chill”.
The teenagers in Ladysmith join bad company and do the wrong things because there is nothing constructive to do.
I hope my cries are heard and our mayor will do something about this.
