As an Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) voter/tax payer, I am deeply disturbed by IFP councillors, officials and members who waste the IFP voter’s time by verbally attacking each in the media and also trying to discredit hardworking, dedicated, passionate, disciplined IFP councillors, which is in conflict with chapter 10.21 (m) of our constitution.
These IFP councillors, members and officials are being called names. This is unacceptable to us as these leaders are currently working hard to unite the party, fighting against corruption in the municipality and fighting against crime just like what Councillor Dubazane did in Zwelisha, fighting poverty, unemployment and nepotism, like what Councillor M. Mkhize, Councillor Mlaba, Councillor Dubazane, Councillor Mvelase and Councillor Mahlinza and others are doing right now, especially about positions that were advertised by the municipality in April while there were people already occupying those positions, housing, etc.

We also have leaders who are good friends of our opposition and there are rumours running around that one of them has received bribes to sell out the party in Loskop during elections at the expense of the IFP voters to enrich him\herself, which is against chapter 10.21(f) of our constitution.
As IFP councillors, you were elected to ensure that service delivery is achieved but you are busy wasting voter’s time by planning to attack and discredit other IFP councillors, instead of using that quality time to come up with strategies and means to fight against corruption within the sinking municipality and ensure that service delivery is achieved.
To us, you currently do not belong to the present IFP. You currently seem to belong somewhere in the bush because when listening to your hate speech and reading your articles, you are lost and don’t know your political opposition.
At the end of this, we all need each other to root out corruption in this municipality. Let us put aside our differences and be aware of these camps, which are the devils of South African politics because a lot of important leaders have lost their lives and others lost their jobs through this.

If you appoint incompetent, unqualified, inexperience staff members in key positions, including political head of the municipality, what do you expect? We must look at this from both on a political and administrative point of view because these are some of the biggest things that delays service delivery.
If these people don’t possess public management skills, then we have a big problem because if you can take an electrician and ask him to fix your car. What will happen? A lot is going wrong within the municipality.
In one office you can find more than three staff members, walking up and down not knowing what they are doing but all getting paid huge salaries. In this case, a skills audit must come in to resolve this problem because it’s one of the things that contributes delaying service delivery.
I suggest that all positions that were advertised while there are people occupying those positions be investigated and all those responsible be punished.
If you advertise positions when there are people already working, what are you saying to the applicants who came as far as Sahlumbe and Insonge, who wasted their monies to apply for those positions?
There is sufficient proof and evidence of positions that were advertised while people were already appointed to those positions. I also suggest that those responsible in advertising these positions i.e Acting Municipal Manager and Human Resource Manager must resign or refund all those who applied and bring their CV’s back.
Izembe libekiwe kulabo abasekhundleni ngokungemthetho. To all IFP members, leaders and supporters and all that wish to join us fight against corruption and nepotism within the municipality, let’s come together and be united.
Let us not allow our political opposition to take control over us. Asilingiseni amazebra, isitha sama zebra yibhubesi. Uma kuqhamuka ibhubesi ama zebra ehlangana ngamakhanda alibe lisasondela ngoba liyazi ukuthi lizotholani kepha uma liqhamuka amazebra ehlakazekile nakanjani ingozi iyavela.
