LETTER: Fake happiness does not fix everything

Have you ever taken the the time to look at that pretty face in the mirror before putting on your "make-up", and telling yourself that you are awesome?

Madam – Make-up, not only valid talking about to the prettier gender, but it counts for us all.

Do you get up in the morning and plaster your face with fake happiness, fake courage, fake strength?

And when you get back home, behind closed doors, away from the world, wash your face clean so you can finally be yourself?

Have you ever taken the the time to look at that pretty face in the mirror before putting on your “make-up”, and telling yourself that you are awesome? That you don’t need to plaster on all the fake news because people, or even just one person out there will see the real you, the awesome you? No?

Then I think it’s time to pack away the make-up and live like you deserve, with an open, clean face, be it sad or depressed or even a face that is angry at the world.

We live behind masks, too afraid that someone would ask “how are you really doing today”, then what would you say?

For every Tom there is a Jerry. For every cappuccino there is froth. Take chances, let go of the masks and make-up and face the world head on. The Tom to your Jerry will find you and love you just the way you are!!

Do me one favour, when you get up in the morning, all wind slept, take the chance, that one minute to look in the mirror, in those gorgeous eyes and say “I AM AWESOME!!” Because that is who you are and don’t you ever forget it.
