LETTER: Grateful thanks from the Crisis Centre

Many thanks to our caring community

Sir
On behalf of the Crisis Centre we would like to thank Ichthus School for their support and donations of food products which were most welcome.

A double mattress was also given by Bradlows.
Gift parcels of school clothing and school bags were given by Woolworths very friendly staff and management.
Needless to say the delight that was expressed for the biscuits that were given to the many people by the Courier, who said they were going home to have tea and biscuits, which I gather is not the norm for many.

We would also thank Brother Daniel for his and the church support and interest in the Centre and the warm blankets and butternuts received.
The old ladies, some at Eventide, who so very kindly knitted beautiful caps for premature babies as well as bigger children.

Many of these were given to the local hospital’s maternity ward, which were distributed to the newborn babies as well as the small patients.
A very big thank you to all who support the recycling scheme which in turn is helping to feed 40 families (of ALL races) to date in financial distress in our community and Glencoe area.

Many folks donate clothes for all ages, from babies to old folk which in turn are given to the needy as far afield as Msinga, Dannhauser Wasbank, Mooi River and Glencoe, as well as in our immediate area.
We are always appealing for childrens clothing and would appreciate donations of any description.

Many thanks to our caring community.
Carol Bradley
Centre Manager
