More promises from the new Mayor and her dedicated team

To any visitor or tourist coming along this route, WELCOME to our rat and diseased infected GLORIOUS town

Oh people of Estcourt. What a glorious sight it was to stroll down our EVER SO BEAUTIFUL roads on such an amazingly AWESOME Wednesday morning.
Unfortunately we are forced to monitor each step we take by looking down because our walkways are really a “lovely” surface to tread or tiptoe on. Each view is met by the beauty of the rotting bags strewn EVERYWHERE.

I am so thrilled to see this stunning sight each and EVERY morning because it IS a continual reminder of the WEALTH of our town COUNCIL. Well done our honourable management, you surely do us all very proud.

To any visitor or tourist coming along this route, WELCOME to our rat and diseased infected GLORIOUS town. May your stay be a pleasant one. Do yourselves the honour of meeting each bin and so humbly take your beautiful photographs.

You are also welcome to make a grand entrance into our EVER-SO-BUSY municipal building and meet with the ever so hard working men and woman (The Mayor and her team). If you perhaps don’t find a soul, leave your name and contact details for the respective secretaries, to call you back.

You may wait a year or two, if you are lucky. But please be patient, you should be called in good time. Our roads, of which we as the rate-paying citizens of this town paid for, are also very “holy”. Well done to those whom were very fortunate to have contacts within to be awarded the contract.

You all did stunningly well in the repairs. Albert and Connor streets are such a pleasure to drive along. It is really so cool to hit the massive potholes, have a few tyre blow outs regularly, run to Ladysmith to have rims repaired and let us not forget the almost head-ons with other motorists or nearly colliding with pedestrians.

All so awesome… driving schools must have such wonderful drivers by the end of the sessions. Traffic department, you too must have your hands full because your “students” are not allowed to make a mistake by “accidentally” crossing a solid line or swerving around, your student isn’t drunk either.

So Mayor, you, together with your PAID ward councillors have a task ahead. Get into the streets, open your eyes and ears and DO what the people elected you for… WORK FOR US!

You are, in actual fact, employed by us but you are all NOT doing your jobs. It truly shows very clearly in our streets and around Estcourt. Too concerned about what you can get and take from the coffers? That money HAS to be used to repair and maintain OUR town and not your pockets.

Refuse collection is taken from us all monthly… people are still dumping in your municipal fields; your areas are an eye sore. Grass, weeds, trees, sewerage and water leaks are part of your jobs.

Road repairs e.g. Connor Street, sending a force of 12 plus people to do a job whereby TWO are working. Can you not think and spread them out through Albert, Connor, Lorne streets, just a few streets of mention. You need to crack down and supervise your jobs.

You are wasting our money by paying workers a day’s job for sitting/standing and watching the job being half done.

Meetings with answers have been promised but that date has come and gone. You all don’t have answers because the problem is over bearing. It is far easier to forget about it whilst the town literally crumbles away. YOU SIMPLY DON’T CARE AND RESPECT ANYONE!
Promises, promises, oh we wish you would be true to yourselves.
