I would like to inform the public that the security guard at the Estcourt Town Library is not working professionally.
Here are the reasons:
1. The security guard is found sleeping on duty in broad daylight.
2. She is allowing unauthorised personnel, this includes her boyfriend, in an area authorised for staff only.
3. The security guard is not observing people using cell phones in the library, eating food or drinking beverages. This is not allowed in the library.
4. The security guard leaves the library exposed and sits by the municipal toilets.
5. She does not wear her company jacket when she goes out of the library.
6. The security guard is very rude to the people who come into the library.
7. She does not observe what people are doing. She is busy watching DVDs and videos on the library computer.
8. The security guard broke the computer at the library, which she is not authorised to use. So what does the Senior Librarian in charge have to say?

The matter has been investigated. The writer has been to the offices of the security firm contracted by the municipality. There are issues of public indecency and currently the writer is banned and is not allowed to enter the library. Theft of a library book was reported. We cannot comment in detail currently.
