By the blood we conquer!

The answer – and the victory – lies in constantly putting our mind and circumstances under the blood of Christ. Before each day begins and whenever we are mindful of it, we must come in prayer before the Lord, and claim in faith the power of His blood over our thoughts and circumstances, even over the lives and circumstances of others.

“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb…” Revelation 12:11
We have focused extensively on the subject of Redemption by the blood of the Lamb and the cleansing power of the blood of Christ (the forgiveness of sins).
But Christ’s blood not only redeems and cleanses, it conquers too.
Many Christians live frustrated and defeated lives because they fail to appropriate the powerful qualities in Christ’s blood which, when applied, help them to live victoriously.
Christ’s blood can not only redeem and cleanse us from sin, it can keep us from sin and deliver us from evil.
If we really appreciate this fact and diligently apply the blood of Christ to our lives, we might not have to spend as much time asking for cleansing from sin and the ravages of Satan, because we would have discovered how to achieve victory over sin and Satan.
Take, for example, the area of troublesome or evil thoughts (which are often the result of some unconfessed sin) or of obvious demonic activity (which is often the result of spells and curses).
It is true that evil thoughts and evil forces in themselves are not sin and defeat, but when they keep coming into our minds and circumstances, we can find ourselves focusing on them to such an extent that eventually they wear us down and lead us into sin and bondage.
Take, by faith, the virtue of His precious blood, and trust Him to give you victory in any area of life. “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”
(1 John 5:4)
It might sound strange, to put your mind and circumstances under the power of His blood, but I can testify, together with thousands of Christians, to the awesome results in victory.
We must use all the weapons available to us in our Christian walk and warfare – the grace of God, the name of Jesus, the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the blood of Christ – by these alone we conquer.
“Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes.” (Psalm 44:5). And Jesus said, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” (Luke 10:19)
A Prayer: Gracious heavenly Father, teach me how to bring my whole being under the protection and power of the blood of Christ so that I experience not only its cleansing but its conquering and overcoming power. For your own name’s sake.
Amen.
