Hearty thank you from the Estcourt Animal Shelter
As a community based non-profit organisation, the shelter cannot operate without the assistance of the local community
It has been eight months since the Estcourt Animal Shelter opened its doors, providing an essential service to the Umtshezi municipal district.
As a community based non-profit organisation (NPO) the shelter cannot operate without the assistance of the local community. The committee would like to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support received from local businesses and individuals. A special mention should be made of the following businesses and individuals who contribute on a monthly basis to our running costs:
– The vets and support staff at the Estcourt Veterinary Clinic, without your professional services we would not be operational.
– Dr Delon Alwar who has arranged for the following donations:

o Hills – dog food.
– Mortimer Motors for sponsoring our monthly fuel.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Ann Gray and all the participants at the annual Polar Bear Swim. We are also appreciative of all the effort put in by Ryan Mellville, Graham White, Sherlene Gericke and Jayshree Govender in organising a very successful Christmas Market.
Ratepayers are reminded that if deductions for the now disbanded SPCA are still being made on your rates account, it is incumbent upon you to contact the municipality to stop such payments.
