‘Resident’ writes:-
I DO HOPE that the residents of AbaQulusi Municipality will remember how many things have gone wrong or deteriorated during the last four years, when it comes to voting next year.
No doubt as the election approaches, the ruling party will be out in the community making all sorts of promises to the people, while the opposition parties will be making similar promises about what they’ll do for the people if elected.
But remember, people, how things have gone backwards since the ANC has been the occupying power in our council. Backwards.
Show me ONE single thing that the ANC can point to and say, “We’re proud of that! That is our legacy.”
The prime example of the mismanagement of our municipality is the fact that almost since the ANC come to power in AbaQulusi, there has not been a full time Municipal Manager. For the entire time, the Captain has been absent, all because of political nonsense.
It seems that the policy has been “To hell with the people and the good of this municipality”, just for the sake of stupid, dumb, short-sighted politics.
We need local politicians who will put OUR interests before those of their parties.
