Municipal electrical department saves the day

I contacted Umtshezi Municipality to find out how long it would be off and they had no knowledge that there was load shedding

On Friday, August 21 at about 11am the electricity at my business suddenly went off.

Thinking it was load shedding, I contacted Umtshezi Municipality to find out how long it would be off and they had no knowledge that there was load shedding.

Fortunately about 10 minutes later a young man Direshan arrived in a vehicle from the municipality and I was amazed at the quick response.

It turned out however, that he was just passing and stopped to make an appointment for a haircut.

When we explained that we had a problem and I could not do my next client without electricity, he immediately set out to find the problem.

It turned out that it was an attempt to steal more electrical cable, which is not the fault of the municipality.

Many thanks Direshan for your assistance, it was much appreciated, especially by my clients, as three had to leave the salon with wet hair prior to this.
