Concern over young man’s murder

A foreign national bumped into his car, the young man only asked why did he bump the car and was replied with a screwdriver stab

I am still angry after a young Colita boy was stabbed with a screwdriver and killed near the door of a tavern. A small argument caused someone to kill an honest young skilled citizen of South Africa and Estcourt. A foreign national bumped into his car, the young man only asked why did he bump the car and was replied with a screwdriver stab.

The owner, who is Naren and ex-cop, closed the door, which led to no help for the young man because all his friends were inside the tavern. The owner should have had a security on guard and he could have helped in this conflict. I feel he needs to answer some questions.

The foreign national fled from the scene with a friend, he should be locked up. The killer is gone and no arrest has been made. This is not the way we should be living in our forefather’s land. We, as a community, will rise and nothing is going to stop us. I warn those that want to use Colita as a nest for drugs and other things; you are going to face the strong arm of God.

A complete clean-out will be done and no one, I mean no one, will have a liquor licence in Colita. I am a Commissioner; I will take care of that. All criminality will be rooted out. Our prayer and other engagements will be soon in place. If you saw what happened in other provinces, then I say to you that selling drugs and alcohol to children will mean that wars will be raged against you all. We also know the people by name and we are watching you closely.

God has already lined you up; I just want to tell you that my love for my community will not be bargained by your greed. Police are there and we are here, you can have those on your side but this fight is ours and we will win. We have special people in high places. We have our own security to protect our people from any type of force. We need answers, where is the man that killed our boy? We also need a complete raid in Colita, we don’t need cowards.

In as far as this matter is concerned; a murder case was opened and is still pending. I would, therefore, suggest that comments or problems arising from this matter be directed to the Investigating Officer, Branch Commander or the Station Commander for their attention.
