The Democratic Alliance Councillors write:-
SOME good news this week. Work on the High Street bridge has started again and if all goes according to plan (the days of miracles are not over yet ) the bridge will be finished by the and of May this year.
The Mason street project is also on the go again and here the target date is end of June this year, so hold thumbs. The Mason street park project is also nearing completion and its target date is and of April.
These projects that were originally under the province are now under Mr Chetty the Director of Technical Services, and he has assured us these targets will be met.
A careful eye is being kept on the water situation but it looks as if there is no way of avoiding water restrictions. The public are requested to use water sparingly.
