What bothers us as NFP Youth Movement is that a number of ANC Youth League members are victims of these internal factions are being killed and assaulted within their party

The newly elected leadership of the National Freedom Party (NFP) Youth Movement, which is led by VZ KaMagwaza Msibi (Deputy Minister: Science and Technology) solemnly condemn the killing of one by another, which took place at Wembezi area. We understand that people are having different views and opinions when it comes to political debate, but we as NFP will not tolerate the barbaric behaviour, which tarnishes the image of our area as whole.

This has become silent for a long time and we have not seen any actions taken by MEC: Community and Safety and Liaison- Willies Mchunu hence during the past six months we have seen him taking responsibility and accused NFP of such behaviour. As the NFP, we demand answers from the MEC on why he keeps on silent. Is it because it is alleged that this killing is happening within the factions of the ANC? As leader and a person responsible for the safety of our community, he should have been come forward and condemn this behaviour for a long-time ago.

What bothers us as NFP Youth Movement is that a number of ANC Youth League members are victims of these internal factions are being killed and assaulted within their party. If this continues, who will lead this country? We now can confirm that it is very unsafe to walk around the streets during night at Wembezi area as the community fears of their lives. Now it comes to a question of where are those police that were deployed by the MEC?

During the previous violence which took place at C-Section in Wembezi, we saw the POP and TRT, what happened now? Who gave the order that now the situation in Wembezi is calm and tolerable?

Our solution as NFP Youth Movement is as follows:
– Because we have seen the failure of the police deployed by the MEC- Willies Mchunu, as the NFP Youth Movement we suggest that on this dilemma, political solution is one of the paramount importance, whereby political parties within its structures should allow political debate.
– Top leadership should allow and let the internal democracy prevail.
– Political education is also a key from top to the bottom of the leadership.

As we approach the 2016 municipal elections, as the NFP Youth Movement we call upon all political parties to be politically tolerant and build a caring society. Lastly, the NFP Youth Movement would like to convey its sincere condolences to the friends, family, relatives and the ANC for the great loss of Mr Collins Chabane – Minister in the Presidency.
