Sir,
On Tuesday, November 25, I was walking next to the Wimpy when I saw a white lady pushing a trolley in order to place it at the trolley bay.
I then greeted her and told her that my late mother would rise from the grave and smack me if I ignored helping the lady by taking the trolley. She was stunned and with a broad smile expressed appreciation. After I had placed the trolley and the lady went back to her motor car, I proceeded towards where I was to get transport. To my greatest astonishment, having walked approximately 40 metres, a car hooted next to me, and guess what?
It was that same lady offering me a lift to where I was going. Was such an act not something to marvel at and praiseworthy?
Surely relationships between races in SA could be fantastic.
