Madam – Let us analyse who the public roads are to be used by…..

The public roads are to be used by the vehicle that has paid a licence fee to the Department of Transport for a period of 12 months.

1. A normal vehicle with the mass under 3500kg pays an average licence fee of plus minus R3 000 to R4 000 for 12 months and COF every 12 months with change of ownership.

3. Licence fees for a bigger truck >16000kg is in the excess of plus minus R8 000.

The question to be asked here is who pays more for the use of the road than us, driving school owners or the public?

Learner drivers make use of road and adhere to the rules of the K53 during there learning period as per the Department of Transport regulations. Drivers must recall the days when they were also a learner driver…

Plenty more can be said about people who think they own the road….
