Sharing a man is a sign of desperation

There is nothing wrong with being single and there is everything wrong with sharing a man

This letter is dedicated to Omuhle, you’ve been through enough standwa sam. It has come to my attention that my sisters are sharing a man and they are perfectly fine with that. Depressing, isn’t it? Sharing a man is a sign of being desperate. I am astonished that some girls turn a blind eye to it.

Are you worth less than the other woman? Or maybe your second name is ‘Makwapheni’? The fact that he asked you out should be enough to remind you of your beauty. Your beauty deserves appreciation from someone who would not let you be any less than a second person. Where is the vision, African woman?

Why let the guy have the best of both worlds? Men also have one heart, you know. There is nothing wrong with being single and there is everything wrong with sharing a man. You might love him but does he love you or her? Sharing lips is like sharing underwear.

I implore you, don’t bear this anymore. You are beautiful enough. My sister, he is not man enough for you. Some things we just can’t share. Ask yourself – will your lobola be worth less than a car he drives?
