It’s about time someone spoke up

It's sad and regrettable that after five Relays and a huge amount donated by the good people of Estcourt that somebody spoke up

May I, through the medium of your newspaper, thank the person who had the courage to question the Cansa Relay, concerning monies and services that don’t reach the very people who contribute to this cause. (Cansa Relay – please reveal facts and figures, Page 6, July 18).
You have written about a subject that many, many people in Estcourt are wondering about. It’s sad and regrettable that after five Relays and a huge amount donated by the good people of Estcourt that somebody spoke up.
The response from the Cancer Association sends a message of ‘we will get to you sometime…’After collecting from five Relays, surely that time has come … and gone.
To Mr Sookraj, the people of Estcourt respect, admire and applaud you on a job well done. We appreciate you but don’t be sarcastic in your response and don’t treat it as personal as it is clearly not.
