FET students in dire straits

Female students have assisted themselves by prostitution for R30 in order to feed themselves

Editor
It is very sad what I have witnessed happening against Umtshezi’s FET students.
These students come from different places – Eastern Cape, Pietermaritzburg and others.
They are residing/accommodated at Val-U Lodge with no food for the past four weeks.
Female students have assisted themselves by prostitution for R30 in order to feed themselves, that is totally against the Constitution and Bill of Rights, where students have a right to education, right to eat and be supported.
I am told that some politicians have found their way to exploit these students.
Fellow politicians let us not use this opportunity to destroy other people’s lives – it is a sin to do that.
Macksons group, Islamic Butchery and others, thank you for your contribution and your time spent doing other people’s jobs at your own cost.
We pray to God to bless your businesses.
Previously we were blaming the apartheid government of oppressing blacks, in this democracy today, we are still oppressed by our own nation, God help us out.
The youth is the future of our country but they are being destroyed by those with money who deceive the poor innocent students.
