THROUGH your newspaper, I would like to regret the shooting incident which took place outside in the vicinity of Dumi’s Tavern at Jobe Street. There have been many versions of the incident about which I may not comment, but the argument started and ended with a shooting outside on the street.

The SAPS and all relevant protocols arrived at the scene after they were alerted of the incident. Therefore all procedures were followed should anyone of the public be interested to find out more about the incident. However, Dumi’s Tavern is sending its humble condolences to the families that lost their love-ones unexpectedly and tragically. May their souls rest in peace.

Dumi’s Tavern would also like to remind its patrons of its incident-free reputation over 10 years. And it will continue to strive to protect its customers at all cost within its controls. I am assuring the public that should similar arguments take place, SAPS will be contacted as soon as possible.

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, a carguard will help to park and unpark cars which are to visit at Dumi’s Tavern as a contingency strategy to avoid similar occurrences. I would like to thank the support that has been given by the public over the years.
