In a recent article that was written in one of your publications where the community of Qinisa next to eZakheni found another African Rock python, the community are “Tormented” by the number of snakes being captured and do not understand these creatures how they behave.
Other residents are also concerned about the fact that they are being released back to the wild and saying “what if they come back?”
It has been reported that two large snakes were captured in the past few days around the same area.
The snake was in a bad shape when it was captured, apparently beaten by the community and they poured Jeyes fluid to try and kill it before it attacked any of their kids.
First off all people should know that this is the time of the year whereby the snakes are coming out to look for food before the winter season starts.
When people see these snakes they should make sure they stay away and call for professionals or police officers and not try and attack it.
Even though I do not blame the people for protecting their loved ones from these vicious animals which sometimes end up feeding on their cattle and chickens. Thanks to everyone involved in catching them before someone gets hurt.
