The Virtual Reality Art Festival is taking place at the Madadeni Community Hall on April 27 and May 1 from 9am to 3.30pm.
According to Project Manager, Palesa Dlamini the exhibition is a way to expose Newcastle artists to a new way of showing art in virtual reality.
“This way, local artists can reach a global audience instead of being limited to a traditional audience in an art gallery,” she explained.
Dlamini confirmed that many local artists from Newcastle and surrounds would be featured in the exhibition and encouraged residents to come experience art in a whole new way.
Entrance to the event is free.
