Newcastle Oval Track

May 1 – A social event of racing will be held at the Newcastle Oval Track from 6.30pm. Entry fees: R60 for adults, R30 for children under 12, R10 per car and R30 for pensioners. All Covid protocols and guidelines will be followed.

Blood Camp and Wellness Day

May 2 – The Ramakrishna Centre and CANSA will be hosting a Blood Camp and Wellness Day from 11am to 3pm at the Suryaville Stalls. There will be B12 injections, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes and PSA testing, as well as the opportunity to donate blood.

This will be free for indigent residents. Participants are advised to wear their masks. For more information, contact Mona on 073 756 2480, Vijay on 082 440 9008 or Sumaya on 082 362 4216.

Newcastle SPCA Annual General Meeting

May 13 – The Newcastle SPCA cordially invites all SPCA members and the community to attend its annual general meeting (AGM) on May 13 at 6pm.

The venue will be at Leighton Court, on 32 York Street. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the SPCA’s function and the work being done within the community. Please note that due to Covid-19, space is limited.
