Egerton’s chess players represent KZN at national tournament

These boys and girls certainly know how to put their opponents in checkmate

Four of Egerton Primary School’s chess players travelled to Johannesburg to represent KZN in the SACSSA National Chess Tournament recently.

Immanuel Potgieter won a silver medal and came second for boys U/13. Shaiyur Timol came seventh (boys U/13), Shriya Suggoo came fourth (girls U/13) and Eli Goldschagg also came fourth (boys U/11).

Egerton is also very proud of Zoë Davis, Rajita Goel and Zakaria Essop for making the KZN team.
