Monument learners take a trip through history

The learners thoroughly enjoyed their trip

The Grade 5 learners from Monument Primary School embarked on an exciting adventure through time, visiting the esteemed Talana Museum recently.

This enriching experience immersed them in the region’s fascinating history, sparking curiosity and wonder. As they explored the museum, the young historians discovered the pioneering spirit of the past, marvelling at the first printing press that brought the Dundee paper to life, the ancient glass artifacts dating back an astonishing 2000 years, and the captivating exhibits showcasing South Africa’s complex and diverse heritage.

But that wasn’t all – the brave learners also dared to tread the eerie ‘ghost walk’ through the cemetery, uncovering secrets hidden beneath the surface.
