VHS raises funds for children’s home

It has been a very successful week for VHS on the sports field

Vryheid High School (VHS) lent a helping hand to Inkululeko Children’s Home on Friday by raising funds for this organisation. Inkululeko Children’s Home is a non-profit organisation in Vryheid that houses and cares for orphaned, abandoned and abused children.
VHS learners were requested to wear rainbow-coloured civvies on Friday. The funds collected on the day were donated to the children’s home. The school wishes to thank all the learners who displayed compassion for the disadvantaged by taking part in such a great initiative.
VHS will always prioritise giving back to the community.

Sport:

It has been a very successful week for VHS on the sports field. On Tuesday last week, VHS played against Inkamana High School. The chess team won 11-0, U/15 netball won 25-2, first netball team won 48-8, 2nd boys’ soccer team won 2-1 and the first boys’ soccer team won 3-1. The first girls’ soccer team demonstrated exceptional skills as they won 3-1 against Comprehensive High School on Thursday.
