LHS learner needs help to go on overseas hockey tour

Vikayla has always managed to be in the A-team at school

Grade 11 Ladysmith High School (LHS) learner Vikayla Naidoo was recently selected for Blue Runnings Sports International, which is an internationally recognised hockey tour to the Netherlands.

The tour will be from September 22 to 30.

It has always been Vikayla’s dream to play the sport she loves overseas, but she needs your help to do so.

Vikayla’s mother said that her daughter’s heart is set on the Netherlands tour and bringing back new skills
to SA. She just prays that the opportunity becomes a reality.

“The cost of the tour is quite high; definitely out of what her dad and I can afford. We must have at least
R20,000 by the end of June; then only will she be able to apply for her Visa or else she will be cut from the tour,
so time is running out. I am so worried that my child’s dream will be crushed,” explained her mum.
