Lennoxton Primary School honours circuit with the opening of their IT and robotics laboratory

Education is power, and it is the only powerful tool that young South Africans can use to change the conditions of this country:

In September this year, Lennoxton Primary School held two prestigious ceremonies in one.

The school honoured P.R.B. Bhagwandass, the retiring circuit manager for the Department of Education in the Phumelele District, by opening the newly renovated information technology centre and coding and robotics laboratory.

“The world is swiftly moving towards the full Fourth Industrial Revolution; therefore, it is our conviction that the youth need to be equipped with the necessary technological skills to be relevant in this new technological era and to ensure that they are not left behind in the era of the internet,” the school said in a statement.

“Lennoxton Primary School believes that if one changes the life of a young person, he or she will certainly change the community and the country in general, because young people are the future of this country and the world. Education is power, and it is the only powerful tool that young South Africans can use to change the conditions of this country, to redress the wrongs of the past, to eradicate poverty, unemployment, and inequality, and eventually grow the economy.”

YD Naidoo, the dedicated principal of LPS, also launched the school’s website.

Members of the community and parents can now view the website, which includes updated information about the school: www.lennoxtonprimaryschool.co.za

“Thank you to the SGB, management of Lennoxton Primary, our staff and parents, along with our various partners, for their tremendous support and efforts. The school also launched their new web page and the evening was enjoyed by all who attended. “

The school ensured that the function was of a high standard, boasting dance items by learners, songs rendered by Mr. Bhagwandass himself, and a fireworks display followed by a sumptuous dinner.

Mr. Bhagwandass attended Lennoxton Primary School, and it was a huge honour for the school that his farewell dinner be held at his Alma Mata.

“The school wishes to place on record their best wishes to the now-retired Mr. Bhagwandass and thank him for the endless efforts rendered to Lennoxton Primary School. Sincerest gratitude to all who were involved in ensuring the success of these events.”
