Zamokuhle School hosts fun Pajama day

Zamokuhle was built in 1982 with the founder passing way and leaving it under the leadership of Mthethwa.

Children at the Zamokuhle Early Childhood Development Centre had a fun day on August 18 when they went to school dressed in their fluffy and warm pyjamas.

The Madadeni-based centre used the day as a fundraiser and the little learners thoroughly enjoyed the novelty of going to school not wearing their usual attire.

The children also ate breakfast cereals and played games. The unique concept was an idea by school principal, Nomusa Mthethwa, who remarked that ‘children learn while playing’.

“We are currently fundraising to get ready for the Grade R registration in December and to assist parents with all the costs that they may not be able to cover,” she continued.

Principal Mthwethwa praised her hardworking staff for always going above and beyond for the children.

“Zamokuhle is such a special ECD. Our staff is very hands on and empathetic. Our children love coming to school because they are loved and cared for. One can feel the care from the time you enter our gates.”

Zamokuhle was built in 1982 with the founder passing way and leaving it under the leadership of Mthethwa.

“I have qualifications and extensive experience in looking after and teaching children from birth to five years. It is my passion, “she said.

Mthethwa speaks highly of her staff, saying ‘all of my teachers are ECD qualified practitioners which is why our school; has won awards in the Amajuba District.’

The children of Zamokuhle thoroughly enjoyed their special and unique day and look forward to the big grade R graduation in December.
