They qualified to go to the Para Championships in Cape Town in September.

The learners at Inkanyiso Special School are physically and / or mentally disabled and many come from disadvantaged backgrounds. It is such a huge achievement for these learners to be competing at this level. They have been practicing very hard at school for these tournaments.

The tournaments are physically demanding, having to play four matches over a period of three days.

Busisiwe and Kwanele won the trophies for ‘Best Player of the Tournament’. Busisiwe, who has cerebral palsy, beat everyone in all the categories for the last two years.

This group of excellent players will be competing in Cape Town in September. The learners are in need of funds to enable them to compete in Cape Town. If anyone would like to contribute to this trip, please contact Ms Ntombela on 065 162 6474 or Mrs Muller on 084 477 7704.
