MLS captures first place at choir competition

The judges were thrilled with their outstanding performance

Learners from ML Sultan Estcourt travelled to Ladysmith in early May to participate in the Choral Eistedfodd.

After several months of practicing, ML Sultan Estcourt won first prize at district level. On May 23, learners had to travel to Durban to compete at provincial level.

The judges were thrilled with their outstanding performance and the choir again captured first position in the ‘Western Music’ category.
The choir committee would like to thank parents and sponsors for their contribution to this major event.

Choir mistress Ms NC Ngcobo was commended for her talent and hard work.

Then, on Monday last week, the learners travelled to Johannesburg for the National Competition at the Rhema Bible Church.
Fund-raising had to be undertaken to meet the catering requirements for the learners and staff. Watch this space for the results.
