Utrecht primary school enjoys an educational weekend at nature resort

Grade 7 learners and staff of Utrecht Primary School were treated to a memorable and eventful weekend at the beautiful Inkwelo Resort by owner, Pastor Ronnie Doorsamy, and manager, Kyle Doorsamy.

Utrecht Primary School is a no-fee school and many learners would not have been able to afford such an outing.

Pastor Ronnie, a leader and visionary who is also the founder of the City of Refuge Rehabilitation Center, which is run from Inkwelo Resort, wanted to give back to the community by affording these learners the opportunity to learn about leadership skills, be made aware of drug and substance abuse, and participate in boot camp activities such as a hike up the scenic mountain, a bonfire, and an obstacle course.

Learners also had the opportunity to swim, go horseback riding, zip line, and show off their talents during a talent show hosted by the resort.

Sumptuous meals were also provided.

Principal Dhiren Singh of Utrecht Primary School, staff, learners, community, and parents extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Pastor Ronnie and his incredible team who have given their learners values and enrichment for life!

Pastor Ronnie and Kyle Doorsamy, together with their team at City of Refuge, have extended their services to schools in dire need of assistance regarding awareness of drug and substance abuse.
