Diligence rewarded at Estcourt Secondary School

Learners were rewarded for their academic diligence throughout the year

Estcourt Secondary School (ESS) held their awards event for the year 2022 on January 20. ‘Academic Recognition of Excellence’ was awarded to the top learner in each grade.

Those who achieved 80% and above in each subject were also honoured. In addition, certificates for soccer, netball and volleyball were handed to learners who demonstrated prowess on the sports field. Pupils who competed in chess and table tennis last year also received recognition in the district and provincially.

Department Head for Humanities Mr MM Mntambo addressed parents and learners on behalf of the principal, Mrs MM Jordan-Donnelly.
His speech was truly enlightening and motivating as he mentioned that the school was fortunate to be afforded the status of a Mathematics, Science and Technology School. ESS was privileged to receive this acknowledgement in the form of ICT equipment from the Department of Education to further the advancement of teaching and learning at the school.
