Volkies’ Husna Chothia excels at SA Maths Olympiad

Husna Chothia of of Volksrust High School was the Junior Quintile 4 winner (Mpumalanga) in the second round of the 2022 SA Mathematics Olympiad.
She competed in the second round of this event alongside four other Volkie-learners and 8 271 junior learners (grades 8 and 9) from across the country.
The South African Mathematics Foundation organized it in collaboration with AMESA, the South African Mathematical Society, and the Suid-Afrikaanse Akademie vir Wetenskap en Kuns, and it is sponsored by Old Mutual and SAICA.
Husna received a certificate as well as a cash prize. VHS is extremely proud of this hardworking and dedicated student!
