Help Gustav get his prosthetic leg

The family has set up a ‘Back-a-Buddy’ page called ‘Help Gustav Walk Again with a Prosthetic Leg’, where people can contribute and pledge donations

Gustav Hinze needs your help to get back on his feet again, literally. Gustav has had to endure many setbacks in the past. The Covid-19 pandemic had a severe impact, taking a toll on his health and livelihood. Late last year, after battling a severe illness, Gustav was faced with a life-altering decision… He had to have his leg amputated to save his life. Regardless of all these seemingly insurmountable challenges, Gustav has showed courage and resilience. In the aftermath of the second revision surgery after the amputation, he is finally ready and eager to regain his mobility with the assistance of a prosthetic leg. However, this new chapter of his life requires specialised wound care, bandaging and most importantly, the prosthetic leg itself. The prosthetics are extremely costly; in the region of R50,000. Imke le Roux and her family would sincerely appreciate any donations towards the prosthetic leg to allow Gustav to regain his independence. The family has set up a ‘Back-a-Buddy’ page called ‘Help Gustav Walk Again with a Prosthetic Leg’, where people can contribute and pledge donations.
“We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide – whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign with others. Together, we can help Gustav take the steps, quite literally, towards a brighter future.” – Imke, Tessa and Klaus.
