Union members protest for better working conditions

One of their grievances was the shortage of water at clinics

Members of the National Education, Health & Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU) held a peaceful protest outside the Department of Health offices in Lyell Street today (October 4).

The march formed part of the union’s public service delivery campaign, which focuses on issues such as the shortage of ambulances and the filling of all vacant positions in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and hospitals in the district. They were basically protesting for better working conditions.
