A very busy weekend and the much-anticipated Springbok game may be to blame for the low attendance at the Paws Market and evening dance on Saturday, September 28.
However, nothing could dampen the spirits as those in attendance were gearing up to attend the eagerly awaited dance later in the evening.
Young and old filled the Amajuba High School hall as Jaco Strydom, who came all the way from Pretoria, kept the atmosphere vibrant and festive with his upbeat tunes.
Commenting on the fundraising event, Alet Oberholzer stated:
“We don’t do this for anything but to help our fur babies and give a voice to the voiceless.”
She thanked everyone who contributed to the day’s success. “Thank you to all the sponsors of all the prizes (Debonairs, Steers, Pet Hands), Jaco Strydom for coming all the way to be with us, my husband, Amajuba High School for allowing us to use their facilities and everyone who set up stalls and attended the market and dance.
“We had an amazing time, and everything we do is for the animals in need,” she concluded
