eThembeni CMD raises drug awareness in Steadville

The programme seeks to help schools with the social ills affecting them

The eThembeni CMD, as a non-profit organisation, held a school holiday programme last week Wednesday and Thursday (September 26 and 27) at the Steadville Community Hall. The programme was held in conjunction with Ward 10 Cllr Xolani Mngadi.

The initiative was aimed at raising awareness about drugs and substance abuse, led by the Crime Prevention Unit within the organisation.

In attendance were mostly learners from Mnambithi Primary School and others from Steadville. The children who took part were identified through the school, targeting those between 10 and 15 years of age.
