A fire engulfed a house near Wagendrift Dam last night (October 1).
Responding to the scene, the Umtshezi Fire Protection Association and ILM firefighters worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames.

The Umtshezi Fire Protection Association commented that, “We received a call to assist with a house fire near Wagendrift Dam and proceeded to back up Inkosi Langalibalele Fire & Rescue Services. Fortunately, the house was not occupied at the time, but the structure was totally destroyed. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.”
